head gasket? thermostat housing? help please!!!
hey guys well im kinda worried. right now my motor(b18c) is going thru coolant like nothing and its over heating...quickly. yesterday i blew the upper radiator hose into two pieces. so that has been replaced and the radiator and resevoir filled with coolant.
what i dont know is why it keeps going thru coolant so fast without any leaks. it will literally go thru the whole resevoir of coolant just going around the block. there is no smoke at all being emitted from the car and before work i bought a new thermostat housing to see if that will fix the problem after i get off. does it sound like the head gasket at all???
any advice or input appreciated...thanks, carey

thanks guys im going down to autozone tomorrow cus they have that free head gasket test so we shall see what happens. any ideas on what else it could be if not the gasket?
The car might not leak just sitting there but it could leak while the motor is on. Sit in the car with it running and rev it up, then get out and look underneath it. If nothing is leaking then I'd bet for sure it's the hg. You could have a leak that shoots it out under loan and never notice it.
