so i got my car runing after the mpfi swap and today i had been cleaning up my wireing and had pulled a spark pulg well the car was running and now its idles off and its not running well and theres white smoke comeing out the exhaust and im geting a code 16 for fuel injectors ....what could it be im pissed i just got it running so any thing will help

 

i would say double check your wiring to the injectors

 

check main relay and reset the ecu...!!!

 

but the car was running fine befor i pulled the spark plug wire now it idles good for like 2mins then get bad and sounds like it want to shut off ...so could it be that maybe i missed up one of the spark pulgs when i pulled the wire

 

ok ill ck the main relay tomorrow dose anyone know how much one run new

 

you might of damaged the spark plug wire when you pulled it...i had the same problem in my cb7 and it turned out that i needed new spark plug wires...!!!

try to get oem when you replace the wires, always has best spark even though they cost a little more. and way more reliable

 

kool...i get a code 16 all the time in my ef but im just to lazy to replace my wires because im gathering other stuff for my future zc swap...i have a set of cheap *** kragen wires that are falling apart but all i do is swap main relays and reset my ecu and im good to go

 

you mean code 16? code 14 is the code for the iacv

check your o rings also. could be leaking out of one.

 

so a leaking o ring could cause this too ....i ck myspark plug wires and they are all ok so im going to replace my spark pulgs ....but would that cause the code 16 cause the car smokes alot now after i had pulled that plug wire as it was running

 

I've seen a clogged fuel filter cause a code 16 (fuel injector). OBD0 aren't very accurate to pin point the problem. Could be some type of fuel delivery problem. Just a thought though.
