Default difference between jdm/usdm intake manifold

Anyone know the difference? or are they both the same? I looked and the fuel rails were black on the swaps i saw. i just recently bought a p73 type r intake manifold and there was a different fuel rail. He had it on his b16 and i figured he just switched it. i dont know

The manifolds are the saem thing, same performance. I hope your not wasting your time putting on a B16 though, you'll lose power

Really? i heard there were gains though depending on the set up. I already have a type r header, straight pipe, exhaust, intake, type r throttle body, port polished head and type r cams. not to mention running a higher compression. so wouldnt the manifold put more gains? ive also heard from plenty of people who deal with cars. i mean it wont be super big but noticeable at least.

ha ha, the ITR intake manifold is so over rated for the street!! It's does more power, "AFTER" 8000rpm, lower than that, the P30 intake manifold owns it!! by 2-4hp at the wheels!

Also, depending on setup, even on larger setup engine like B20 vtec conversions running the PR3 head, the P30 pounds out more hp on the dyno than the all mighty P73 manifold.

Too many people get their panties in a bunch when the "R" name is mentioned.

BTW, my statements are all facts, i personally own even right now, two B16A powered cars, B20 EK, and a B18C5 powered car. I have tried many different set ups and know what makes power,

I don't remember why, but Stan from Hmotorsonline told me I had to switch my intake manifold from my B16A2 over to the JDM B16 I just ordered from them to make it work on OBD2.
I can't for the life of me remember why though right now.

For the money, I would just buy an older s2. Mine works great.

JDM intake manifolds lack a purge solenoid. Thats the only difference i've ever seen.
