Default Electrical issue

Ok so I have a 91 hatch. Since I have owned the car it has had a battery drain and the cluster back lights have never worked. I have checked all the grounds. I have checked the power at the cluster and the conections for the bulbs. I have also checked the bulbs themselves. So any ideas on the matter would be apperciated. Thanks.

so i assume you want help with both issues. With the cluster i would guess that it might have bunt trace on the circuit board. have you tried another cluster? You say you checked the power and grounds, do you mind sharing what you discovered, you arent providing much info for us.
for the drain have you tested the draw or is this based on a dead battery? have you connected a test light to the battery and removed your fuses one at a time? this will let you know what circuit your drain is coming from.

I am not worried about the battery drain. But thanks for the info on that. As far as the cluster I checked for 12v on the circuit board where the bulbs make contact. When I turn the lights on I get 12v at that conection. I checked the 12v power on the harness where it snaps into the cluster it was good. I checked for 12v switched power at the cluster it was good. I physicaly chased the grounds by hand and also put test leads on each end of the ground wire and ohm tested it to make sure the wire was not broke. I ohm ed the bulbs and they test good. All of the indicator lights work all the gauges work. I have had 4 different clusters in this car same problem with all of them. Also as stated in earlier post I have tried 2 different dimmers. Hope thats enough info, I just want it fixed. Thanks.
