Icon2 noob question about sohc oil pan

I'm replacing my oil pan because when I bought the car, previous owner hit a bump and dented it real bad, also drain plug is stripped. So I have another oil pan laying around for a sohc but can't remember if it was from a 1.6L or 1.5L vtec or a non-vtec . But it is for a 92-95 civic.

My question is: I'm replacing my oil pan on my civic (d16z6) and was wondering if there's a difference between the oil pans on a non vtec 1.5L and vtec 1.6L? And if it doesn't matter, is it interchangeable?

Is there any thing to look for to determine if it's a 1.6l sohc oil pan? It fits and everything but wanted to make sure if it will cause anything harm to the bottom end of the motor. I got a new Honda gasket for a 1.6L sohc already.

I do believe there is a difference in depth from vtec and non vtec oil pans. If you have the time I would honestly just drain the oil anyway and see if it fits properly.

Or at least compare the oil pans side by side. If it's compatible the pans should look nearly identical.

Well I took some pictures after removing my oil pan and comparing it to the other one I had. The hole where the oil pick up and filter screen rest is different.

The one on the left is the one I took off my car. Hole on it looks larger than other one. What do you guys think, is it useable or should I go get one that I know is for the right model?

Well after looking at it, I think the other one maybe for a 1.5L because of the depth issue. Correct me if I'm wrong. But thanks to all that replied.

to add some constructive input, I do believe vtec engines had a deeper oil pan in models of the same year than non-vtecs due to extra oil being pulled to activate the fun-timing.
