distributor is failing my car did the same just replace the whole thing otherwis u will just waste time and money rebuilding it

 

New swap? might be the white wires are flipped backwards.
Spark plug wires might be 'leaking' and grounding out.

the white wires wont let the car start if flipped.............. try a new fuel filter

 

iacv check that out mine got disconneted woudnt rev past 3500

kinda curious about this myself, one of my friends had a guy put a zc in his 91 hatch and it has a loose connection as well, if he mounts his ecu it won't rev past 3500 either, but if he lays in on the floorboard it will, let me know what you find out. its dumb, gotta be loose pin.

 

dont know if it helps....had this same problem with my ls for months and couldnyt figure it out...turns out my crank harness had some bad wires...made up a new one problem solved

 

Change the dizzy. I had that problem. Sounded like a 2step for an srt4..

 

yes you can swap it.its really wise decision.
