Do not under stand the question. Do you mean are they compatible? I would believe so yes. Or are you asking what does it do? From what i been told, its for emissions, and it dissipates the gas fumes.

Yes they are compatible. Actually they are an upgrade as you will have the ability to add a cabin air filter frame with the filter. 99-00 Civics and 98-01 Integras have this style evaporator housing as well.

I'm actually in the process of doing this right now on my 98 EK. I installed the evaporator last night and it was quite a surprise of how easy it was to install because it was a MF'er to get out!

You gotta get the Filter Frame from the dealer unless the one you grab has one it it already. The one i grabbed from a 99 civic had a slot but not filter or frame.
