theres a little rubber stopper on top of the brake pedal that depresses the brake light switch. they are known to deteriorate. buy a bolt and nut, screw it in the hole and u never gotta worry about it again.

Or go to the dealer and buy that little nub, only couple of bucks.

It is in the FAQ under brake and suspension with the title BRAKE LIGHTS WONT TURN OFF.
these peaple are just stupid or lazy and most of them arent noobs like this op. I've seen 5 of these in the last month and its getting real old. We need to stop answering these redundant questions and force these peaple to use the search button.

No kidding I used to just plain answer the questions when others flammed poster for not searching but yeah this has been brought up so many times recently it's getting really really LAME/OLD/STUPID, especially when a simple 4 second search will yield lots of thread (with answers) on this. Geezzzzz...ok back to normal now. I guess I get cranky after not sleeping in almost 24 hrs.

Trust me, I was just like you in saying that and would answer it but try that after seeing the SAME question asked over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over....you too will get annoyed at idiots who don't do a simple search.
