Can I use a d16z6 camshaft in a d16y8 head?

 

I will say YES!

 

if your doing this for a performance upgrade dont bother both cams are very similar infact the y8 is slightly better though the differemce is so minimal you might not notice

so it will work no problems? reason is have z6 camshaft brand new and old y8 camshaft. wondering what one to use. also I know the degree pitch is a little greater on the y8 but I dont know what that does.

 

will NOT work unless you modify the head for lobe clearance.
