yeah i toruqued the flywheel bolts to i believe like about 76 and the pressure plate ones to 19. no the flywheel wasnt resurface, it had some marks on it but i just cleaned it up. i ran my fingers through it and it seemed fine. should i have resurfaced it. what else can it be?

it's always recomended that when puttin on a new clutch. If flywheel is not resurface, it can cause chattering, because the flywheel isn't even.

Doubt the tranny is bad. take it apart and either get it resurfaced or get a lightweight balanced replacement.
