Icon3 b16 RPM problem

I have a B!6 that I swapped into a CRX DX. I have it all wired up it runs but it hesitates at 2500 rpm as if it were hitting a "rev limiter". I have checked the timing-its good, did compression test on cylinders 1-4:220 (1), 220 (2), 190 (3), 210 (4). ensured the firing order is correct. o2 sensors are hooked up. replaced TPS, IACV sensors. swapped out dizzy, ecu for dizzy, coil. New wires, plugs, cap, rotor button.

The problem is this: at one point I was able to start the engine after doing a dizzy and coil swap. The engine would rev all the way to 6k rpm (didnt push it any further). This was great for a little bit. Then the damn thing went back to the "rev limiter" of 2500 rpm. I have checked everything I can. I was wondering if there is a possibility that I have a pr3 obd1 instead of an obd0. How would I know? If this is the case would it cause the engine to do this? If not then what, if any, advice can anyone give.

Please Help. About to drive myself nuts trying to figure this out!!!!!

Check to see if you have any faults codes. If so, troubleshoot accordingly. If no codes, replace the fuel filter. Let me know how you make out.

Thanks. I will check the codes tomorrow. I have a pressure gauge on the fuel filter, its reading around 35 when idle and increases when throttle is increased.

Is your ecu chipped? If it is could be a faulty chip, or it might have been programmed wrong. PR3 isnt that for a DA integra?

PR3 is the old B16 ECU. Let us know about those trouble codes, I wonder if there's a knock sensor problem.

Your right the pr3 is the b16 ecu out of a Teg. Doubt it was chipped, I got the engine swap from JDM. Unfortunately it was bout a year ago, so the 90 day is up.

here are the codes:

7 - TPS
10 - IAT
14 - IAC

What I dont understandis that I have replaced all of thses sensors. I did the outer two wire swap on the TPS as well. I did notice that the engine idle does not change when I disconnect the TPS while its running. Any ideas???? Thanks for the help so far.

Seems this problem comes up everyday.

Check your wiring. Make sure you don't have iat and iac plugs mixed up.

Ok guys I'm about to prove my "NOOBNESS"!!!! I decided to look at the pinout for PR3 and check the wires to those sensors. If it wasnt for the comment about the Knock sensor then I woulda never figured this out. I found that both the Knock sensor and the IAC sensor have the same color plugs with a 1 wire difference. Thats where the problem was. I had them backwards. I swapped them around and she started up running like a champ!!!!! only ECU code I'm getting now is the TPS. I may need to rotate it back a little (retard it). Any suggestions on this would be great. Thanks again for all the help!!!! from the total NOOB LOL

search around, but you're supposed to use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the tps. good job on fixing the problem. one thing i did when i converted to mpfi was i used one ef plug and one eg plug for the two sensors that get mixed up so it's easyer to remember which plug goes where.
