Default Exhaust setup for ZC motor, test pipe or cat?

I've got a Civic hatch with a SOHC ZC swap, Megan Racing header, and an HKS sport exhaust on the way. The header outlet is 2" and the exhaust is 2" also. Now I'm wondering about whether to run a catalytic converter or a test pipe. I live in TN so I don't have emissions to worry about.

But I was looking on Ebay and the smallest test pipe I could find was 2.25". Maybe a dumb question, but will this bolt up or not? Would a 2" cat choke the car down? I've also considered driving down to the local exhaust shop and having them weld a small length of pipe with two flanges, and putting that in place of the cat.

Just looking for the best option for my car. Thanks.

ive never noticed a big difference with a cat or without. i would just go down to the muffler shop and have them make one that would be the cheapest way.
