ok so i have a ek hatch DX with a stock d16y7 and i just picked up a used DC 4-1 header...so before i install i had a couple of questions...help would be really appreciated.........

ok so since my cat is mated to the manifold the header would delete my cat, my question is if i can still hook up the header straight to my exhaust piping until i get a ex cat... also i know there is an o2 sensor right at the top of the stock manifold and the DC header has only one bung near the very bottom, would i have to extend that o2 sensor wire from up top to reach all the way under the car or what?

there it is sorry for the essay.....if any one could help asap since i only have a couple of hours of free time today to do this..

yea, ill hook up to yur exhaust piping.
i have a 97 cx with the same set up.
i extended the 2nd o2 sensor wire by cutting the hardness wrap and i used a o2 simulator so the engine light dont come up.

 

ok nice thank you very much, so just to clear up the first sensor reaches the lower bung with an extension (any wires to extend the o2 wires?) and the second o2 needs the simulator?

well i used a megan racing header.
i didnt have to extend the primary o2 sensor wire because it was right there at the front.
and the 2nd o2 i just cutted the engine harness wrap enough to get it back there

 

ok yeah cool, my dc header has the sensor bung at the bottom so im gunna need to extend the first one but yeah thanks for the info and link to the simulator really appreciate it i guess i cant put it on today then until i get that part lol
