Default Temp Gauge Problem? Or Over Heating Car

Ok i just bought a 94 integra ls, pretty good price- nothings been done to it except a 5spd conversion. other then that its been fine. It did however over heat one time- not to bad- just had to park it- add some water, found it was due to a bad radiator cap.

this time its different. ill be at a red light, or parked some where and the temp gauge starts to mark half- then keeps going up...until i creep the car forward it starts to go down again. car has coolant- im not sure if this could be due to a bad reading- or the car is not cooling down properly. anyone have some ideas?

Check your temp sensor, could themrostat, or water pump.
