Car wont start... TIMING?? help
I just finished installing headgasket and new gaskets all round on my 94 integra ls...
i dont have to much exp with timing the car cuz i didnt want to mess around with it in the first place bc it was fine.
A friend of mine was helping me with the car and i believe he might have turned the crank pulley when belt was off cam gears so its out of time.
My car will not start but it sounds like it wants to... Everything else was torqued down to specs thru whole process and all sensors and hoses connected correctly.
Ive read about timing but wanted some more info or advice from all of you...
I know my cam gears are good, but crank pulley need adjusting...
I know theres a mark on the timing belt cover to match up to, but on the crank pulley itself what am i looking for? (marking wise)
I know theres a White mark for TDC and i believe some RED markings as well.
Since car WONT start, what am i trying to match up to the mark on timing belt cover?? The White... the Red... or both markings??
Also, in order to see these marks, do i need the belts off pulley??
Thanks in advance everyone, i just dont want to see another teggy sittin in a driveway ya know.

On the crank pulley there are 4 marks... white/red/white next to each other and then 1 white that is by itself. You need to use the 1 white mark that is by itself and line it up with the line on the timing belt cover.
The white/red/white that are all next to each other are used for ignition timing, which you should check with a timing light after you get the car started.

icic... so if im looking directly down into engine bay... are the markings on the face of pulley or are they on the side where belt sits at??
If theyre where the belt sits at, then i assume i need belts completely off???

They are on the "side" where the alternator belt sits, so when you look down into the engine bay you can see them. It doesn't matter if the alternator belt is on or not.
Think of it like this... The groove that the belt sits in looks like this: l__l The marks are on top of the lip that is closest to the engine so it's easy to line up with the timing belt cover.

i took valve cover off again and found 1 of my rocker arms pretty much off its designated spot under cam.
Its the 3rd one from the right side by timing belt and it on intake side... should any of the rocker arms be able to come off during any stroke??
I know it should be between .08mm-.012mm on feeler gauge.
any advice and or info would be appreciated.

I turned the crank to check if my timing belt was snapped. Do I have to return everything back to TD
