Default anyone have a gt28r? or suggestions about a better turbo?

I cant decide what turbo to get.... theres so much BULLSHIT out there. Its hard to find a manifold too , I dont want to pay more than 300 for a a manifold... even 300 is a bit too pricy for a manifold. I would like to get a gt28r , I have aeagle rods/ vitaras on a d16a6 and have 440cc injectors , aem fuel rail , and performer x intake manifold so far....just need to get turbo , manifold and piping and a few small things. any suggestions ?

Was looking at a "bullseye" turbo on FJ Dist. anyone have anything good/bad to say about them?

Well lets look at this, what is the purpose of the car? Street, Street/Strip, road race, autox x?

What are your horsepower goals?

Unfortunatly even log manifolds run just over 300, but they are a quality piece. The Turbo Manifold and the Turbo and wastegate are going to be your most expensive pieces in the kit and you DO NOT want to cheap out on them or you will have issues down the road.

Out of curiosity what is the reason for wanting the gt28r? Not saying it's a bad choice just trying to get an idea of what you are looking for.

Well a quality log mani is going to run you between 300-400 dollars. Don't mess around with the ebay stuff unless you like re welding things.

If you are on a budget with a D series, run an HF mani with an adapter plate.

Turbo, I would suggest a 14b (from a 90-94 Eagle Talon/Mitsu Eclipse/Plymouth Laser) or a used 50 trim turbo. These are my suggestions.

Message TheShodan on here. He is an expert on finding the proper turbo for what you want. Just tell him how much whp you are looking for and what you are going to use it for.

Spoolin Performance (www.spoolinperformance.com/) is a good place to start.

Also check in the sponsors marketplace on here, they have great deals going on.
