skunk 2 shift knob??
ok guys im looking to get a skunk 2 shift **** off passwordjdm and was wondering if the skunk 2 **** would fit on the stock shifter? also what are other good brands of shift ***** are you fellow ht members using? also was wondering how do you remove the stock ****?
thanks
thanks
A Skunk2 shift **** in 10x1.5 thread will fit a stock shifter. I love mine. It looks great and is heavy. To remove the stock ****, twist it counterclockwise.
ok thanks blueintegra boy. i tried twisting counter clockwise but wouldnt come off. hmm maybe wasnt turning hard enough. another question are all shift ***** the same demension, meaning like universal fit on a stock shifter?
No, most imports have the same thread pitch, but some cars have differnt ones. I tried to put a camaro **** on my nissan hard body I had and no go. I had a nissan sentra ser **** on my old hatch though. Just go to the junk yard and pull the stock **** off a car you thinkin about if its only made for that(j/y charge like $5 a **** at the most) and see if it fits. Skunk2's are nice and so are mugens. You just gotta twist it hard. Some times if its the stock **** and never been removed its a lil tough just build some muscle and twist. Ebay is the best place to get them though cheaper then most places. Skunk2 are weighed ***** and feel like butter when shifting get a skunk2 short shifter and you will notice shifting is like night and day.

Its definitely a good piece put it is pretty expensive for just a ****... But when I lived in MD it would be so cold that I couldn't put my hand on it... It was painfully cold... Now that I live in FL it gets painfully hot...
If mine was in good shape I would just put the stock Si **** on...
