would it be a better idea to get a used clutch and pressure plate from a stock honda that sitll has life left??

always inspect the clutch disc for cracks and excessive wear. if the alternator bolts on and the plug fits i don't see why not.

I did a manual swap and learned to drive manual on an AutoZone clutch. It's taken 10,000+ miles of abuse without slipping or breaking yet.

Go for the almost-new one.
