Shoes for aluminum drums
I currently have a 1990 Si hatch with the stock disc/drum setup. I have a set of aluminum drums with the backing plates from a 86-87 CRX HF which I was going to put on my 86 Si hatch before I sold it. I have read that these drums will fit on my car but my question is which shoes do I use, the 90 Si rear shoes, or the 86-87 HF shoes? I have looked on the Honda parts system and it shows there are two different part numbers for the two cars. Does anyone know how different the two shoes are?
I would assume I should use the Si shoes since the wheel cylinders, springs, adjusters, etc. are carried over and I'm just changing the drums and backing plates, but some insight would be appreciated.

The aluminum HF drums have a steel liner in them for the braking surface on the inside of the drum. I used the EF brake shoes on my 1989 Civic hatch with the HF drums.
