Default prevent battery drainage

so im leaviing for 3 weeks and my car will be on standby. i dont want the battery to drain so can i take the battery out or is there a downside in doing this.

or should i get a family member to warm the car up once in a while, while im gone? thanks for advice

your battery shouldnt drain out in 3 weeks, if it does you've got a problem somewhere...

but if you are worried about something like this happening then you could go pick up a cheapo float charger from a discount store (Harbor Freight Tools for example) and just hook that up while your gone

just disconnect or take out the battery while your gone.
