Problem wit Clifford 50.7 alarm please help!!
Hi guys, I've been running through some issues with my alarm. I had it installed in my EG6 at the shop, but its been acting weird lately. My shock sensor would go off out of no where at night time. I ran out and check several times no body is there. It's parked in a backyard so I don't think anybody would go back there it happened twice tonight. I'm guessing the wind is going through my attena hole. Could that be the reason? or am I having some other issues? Anybody out there experienced this before please help me.
Definitely check the impact sensors adjustment, arm the alarm, wait 15sec. then softly, [with heel of hand] "thump" the drivers "A" pillar, wait a few sec. and thump it again a little harder wait a few sec. and do it again a little harder, a relatively "soft" impact should trigger the alarms warn a way and a harder impact should trigger the full alarming mode.
You should also be able to kick a tire pretty hard and not trigger more then the warn a way, but cracking a lug nut free should trigger the alarm.
Wind should not effect the impact sensor, it is not a motion sensor, heavy winds that buffet the car my trigger warn a way, if winds are heavy enough to trigger the alarm the impact sensor is not installed and/or adjusted properly, or you have much bigger problems then the alarm going off, [damage to house due to wind].94
