Installing Sportlines on EK

Default Installing Sportlines on EK

tomorrow. Thats what my dad and i will be doing tomorrow. I got a spring compressor . Are there any precutions to take . Oh and where are the dump stops located , because that what we have to trim . As for the back will i have to remove the interior panel to get access to the springs . The job shoudnt be hard for the 2 of us Right? We have a good knowelege of cars but never did suspension work .

Installing the springs should be strait forward. Once you have the wheels off you can see everything that needs to be disconnected in order to remove the shocks and springs from the car. The bump stops are underneath the dust boot cover for the shock and you'll see them as soon as you disassemble the stock springs and shocks. The job shouldn't be too hard with 2 people, I'd say about an 1 hr and 30min job if you take your time.

It is strait forward if you have done auto work before. You will see the bump stops. In the rear you will need to remove the speaker covers and speakers. Use a ratchet with 3 or so extensions on it to get down to the top bolts.

1.5 hours? ha. if this is your first time, you will run into some problems. to save some time and a couple bottles of advil, spray all nut with liquid wrench or wd-40, let set for at least an hour.

the longest parts are getting off rusty bolts and using the spring compressor.

expect 3-4 hours....good luck....

listen to ur dad..if he s offering to help u it pretty clear he knows how to do it..and if he **** it up im sure he ll pay to have them put on..and while ur at it u may as well upgrade ur struts and shocks to avoid having to do this all over again when ur stock one blow
