Welding cracked DC Headers! Do able or not?
I have a 3in crack running along the manufacturer welds on my DC headers. The cermanic coated, which I know will have to be removed prior to welding.
But, is it possible to do it have have the weld last more than a few months. I have heard mixed reviews in the past.
Help me out!!

2K is right--if it's done correctly, it'll be alright.
If you still have your DC paperwork, I do believe there is a warranty that it'll be free from manufacturing defects for the life of the product. Try to get a new one. (If you're the one who cracked it, that won't work)

Thanks guys! I'm sure it's just age that caused the crack. My engine is stock and never really red lined it. I'm had them On for about six years. I've heard most DC headers last only 3-4 years max.
Plus a job like this I'll take to an exhaust shop. I'm not the best at welding and don't have the time.
