Default Possible b20 knock advice needed

So yesterday me and a friend of mine swapped in my jdm b20 that I bought from a local engine importer. Everything was done right and turbo was mounted and NGk colder plugs were put in gapped to .28. My friend didn't tighten up 3 of the plugs well and we started up the motor and it idled fine... We let it warm up and slowley revved it up and it sounded fine... Then the motor was revved to 6500 aproximatly and it started to make a knocking noise.. We shut it off checked everything and tightend the plugs and changed the oil ... Put in new oil and started it up... No more knocking noise even when it's revved... I started the motor up when it was cold this morning and again no knocking or anything.
So my question is should i keep the motor or take it back under the warrnty... Only problem is the hassle of swapping it in again...is there a easy way to tell if there is a problem with this motor without taking it all apart?

Sorry about the long essay guys and alll input is appriciated..

I'm guessing it's a b20b and not Z. Sounds like you and your friends corrected the problem by tightening the plugs. I don't see a reason to bring it back if it's not happening again.

lol.... thats why i didnt write where i got the motor from.. haha but yes i do have warrnty and i guess i will just keep the motor because the knocking noise has not returned.

So im guessing it was either carbon in the motor or something like detonation due to the plugs not being tight?

i want you know what was the reason for the knocking bascilly bacuse if the motor is messed up i can take it back for a different one before i tune it.
