Default swiss cheese

ive got the stock air box still and was wondering if its even worth it to do it? any1 tried it? would i be better off just cutting out the whole bottom portion? i have a k+n filter and a 3in pipe to put on someday this week, and was gonna do it all at once...

c'mon i know a lot of u rock the stock airbox, nobody did anything to pinch out a lil more power/air?...

i did!!! works great!!!! looks stock, sounds as good as a ram air also, i just drilled all bunch of 1/2" holes at the bottom...if you have an old elbow piece you can cut it and put it on the bottom so it becomes kinda like a cold air...plus you don't have to be scared it'll suck up water...

cool. got any pics handy? i took the lines out the top portion of the box today and was gonna decide to swiss cheese it, or cut out the entire bottom and put a cone filter i have... idk, what woud be better?

ive heard of people putting the holes in there stock air box. its makes sense, more air, less constriction. if you decide to do it, i want pics!!!!

i did a bunch of quarter size holes in the bottom portion. cant feel any difference. does sound a bit better and i would assume has less restriction so its better for your engine.

i mean youre not gonna get crazy *** hp gains, but anything you do to help you motor breath better will help

agree, as do i. plus if you dont like the end result you can buy a short ram, cold air, or you could even replace it with another OEM unit from a junk yard or something.
