Default Progress of rebuild

(As you can see I edited the thread) I just had a bit of problem with the rebuilder not getting back to me, been 2.5 weeks so far and I have not been notified with anything.

Over the phone before the day I dropped it in he said 2 weeks, when I dropped it in he changed it to 3 weeks. Now, no update on anything. Went down last week to see how it went (see pics on my F22B1 SOHC thread).

Your opinion:

1. Call him right away to ask what's going on?

2. Wait like a sitting duck?

3. Take a bit of a drive to the work shop (a bit north of perth) and just show up without notifying?

The guys is kinda a *****, called him last week and he doesn't seem to like talking on the phone.

Been there done that, I hate that type of ****.. They seem to think they can tell you whatever they want to get your buisness and after they have your car just let it sit there.. Yeah we will get to it ASAP... chyea right. GL with the shop man... Option 3 Just show up and see WTF they are doing with your ride.. They have your car and your $$$ so just walk in and get some answers..

Id be over there asking about the ETA of when its going to be done. Your paying for his labor which = his time working on it.
If my paint guy takes 2 months instead of 2 weeks like he said, best believe the labor would be discounted unless there were major complications.
Goes with any type of automotive work.

I appreciated your input guys. Went there on friday, engine is assembled (about time) and LSD is fitted to the tranny (took a furken week to just to this). flywheel and clutch is not in yet and engine bay still empty. The eta is 3/4 way through this month, just pisses me off how he said 2 weeks (to pull me in) and when I dropped it in he changed to 3 weeks. Note: my car wasn't being worked on when I was there. Expected to install the engine this monday and get it back this wednesday or thursday.

On Friday, I went to get driveshaft as well from a cv joint shop for $470 (assembled with oem parts). The rebuilder wanted $630 to supply me inner and outboard joint so screw him and I got my own one.

any other inputs in your experience regarding this thread is welcome!!
