Default Ls vtec compression ?

I am trying to do a ls vtec motor. the motor consists of:
84.5mm rs machine pistons
ls rods with arp rod bolts and getting them cryo treated
and i am thinking about the gsr or b16 head..

I am trying not to get more than 12:1 compression

It is going to my daily driver and I don't want it to be on race gas... what do you guys think about the compression.. i might be going with a supercharger in the long run.. but i think that it will be ok with the high compression ..
