Default Car Lagging problem

Okay i have a lsvtec turbo in a eg that's lagging alot. My car wont seem to want accelerate when giving it more gas. It runs fine after for a bit but as you drive it around for a while it lags and picks up very slowly. I think the car is not getting enough fuel somehow. Or maybe its the ecu or sensors. I just finished this swap a few weeks ago but i'm using a stock p28 ecu. Fuel injectors and pump is stock but that shoudnt cause the car to lag. I had alot of ppl take a look and they dont know what's wrong with it. the only sensor that's not hooked up is O2..but im gonna knock that off after i get it tuned. but i really need help with my lagging problem guys cuz no one has any idea what may be wrong...HELP GUYS!

yeah..i've been on a bunch of forums and nobody has any idea what may be wrong...i'm going to get it tuned and maybe that might be the problem, but the motor should at least be running fine before i tune it, when i give full gas down the car picks up very slowly and kind of shakes like it wants to go faster. But when i slowly accel then the car will slowly pick up. I'll try pinching off the fuel return line and see how it goes..but please help give me ideas guys cuz i've been looking around for weeks now and NOBODY has figured out my problem!!

also are you running ls injector. because ls runs a resistor box and p28 ecu does not

i changed fuel filter..put bigger injectors in and car still lags...i changed the map and tps sensor..fuel pressure sits at 38 psi and revs up to 42..so fuel is good...turbo boost controller sits at negative 21 psi and will boost up to 5 psi so vaccum is good...motor seems fine...but i still have no idea why car is lagging...sometimes the car starts to lag when it starts to build boost...i'm running a chiped p06 ecu with a few specs that allow me to run my bigger injectors...i think i just need to get the car tuned but i can barely get up to 50 mph...maybe i need missing link...everything seems to be connected, so i dont know why my car is still lagging...

my ecu has no programs..it's a p06 chipped with a few specs...it allows me to be able to use my 680 injectors I tried other ecu's and they dont make a difference, and timing belt is good too, So that's why i'm really lost and really need help..

try changing your map sensor.

my swap is an obd2 but i converted it using obd1 wireharness...do i need to run resistor box with my 680 cc low impadence injectors? i believe the injectors are obd0

i've got exactly the same problem, i've replaced everything and have only the FPR / Dizzy itself / MAP sensor to replace. No CEL's.

I wonder if timing is seriously retarded either through engine or ignition.

okay i think i finally figured it out..i changed the distributor and the car seems to be running fine now....a tiny lag but car seems to pick up pretty fast..but maybe my lag is cuz i have low impadence injectors and need to run a resistor box..

i hooked up resistor box and car ran like crap..so i'm running it without resistor box...so my problem now is that the car does run fine when i drive i casually but as i give it full throttle by gasing all the way down...the car will lagg and not want to pick up..but it does drive fine casually..

well if timing is retarted either through ignition or engine, then why would the car run fine at first and then lagg after a while?

Are you tuned yet? and you need a resistor box with L.I. injectors.

Mine would pull GREAT at about 75% throttle, but at full throttle, it would lag until vtec kicked in. Reason for that was, I put a bigger turbo on, and ran it on my old map. Well..my compression was different too. Your main problem is the missing link. Get rid of that piece of crap. They really do you no good. Although, if you are running one for the time being, you should be running a FMU as well. you need to be. But get rid of both as soon as possibly, and get tuned.

i did run missing link and it ran like crap..now im not running mising link and still running like crap..i'm using gsr map sensor..and yeah my compresssion is probabily junk right now...and i'm going to go tune my car with a 3 bar map sensor...and as for the resistor box..my car runs worst with it on with my L.I injectors..i know i should have it on but i took it off so i can daily drive it...so you guys think tuning will solve the problem?

Well, for one, here's your issue. All a Missing Link does is trick your map sensor and tells it nothing is wrong with map. Problem is, we all know somethin is wrong, it's not vacuum any more, it's pressure now. If your Map detected that, it wouldn't allow it to go into boost. With that said, since your untuned map has no idea what's going on. There is no way for it to give you more fuel when it's being overloaded with too much air pressure/boost. That's why you HAVE to run a FMU along with a Missing link. An FMU adds more fuel. But it's the worst thing you can run, although useful until you tune it. I'm sure tuning will fix it. But you need that resistor box, too.

but i dont know why my car ran worst with the resistor box connected..maybe cuz my ecu is read for 650 high, since my car is with low injectors and ecu is for high maybe thats why my car runs bad...
