Default Clutch sticks sometimes-engages early

My clutch seems to stick sometimes. For example when i have the clutch to the floor to take off in first, it engages right as i let off the clutch just an inch or two...BUT, my clutch normally engages closer to the middle or top, even in first gear most of the time it acts fine. Just every 5-10 take offs, my clutch sticks and engages really early, feels sticky and i almost stall it cause im not ready to gas so early into letting off the clutch pedal. I don think its the clutch pedal itself, it feels fine, its almost like the cable itself is sticking. Could it get stuck?

I have adjusted my cable tranny before since i got a new clutch in my b16, and over time its needed adjustment due to break in, so i would make it tighter and allow it to engage more towards the middle where i like it. could this have something to do with it? could the cable be tangled or something? Or could it be internal problems with the tranny? Its a new clutch and bearings are new.

Thanks

Replace & readjust the cable. Your new stronger clutch could be more than your used older cable can handle (assuming the cable is old). Clutch cables are fairly cheap and it's the last piece you may need for a whole new clutch system anyway.
