well im in san diego so thats a bit far. im just trying to find out if i can call chp and have them check the numbers, but if it is stolen i dont want to get caught up because then it'd b considered recieving stolen property.
Is that what you do??? FU ****, I'm from Vegas. Muahahahaa. What kind of dumbbass inbreds do you think we are??? Better be talking about Reno or something. Contrary to what ppl think, you need to show papers at the NV DMV too. Shiet what do you think they do here? Use an abacus at NV DMV still versus your "Pancho" CHiPs.
Why not just punch the vin into carfax?

call from a cheap prepaid cell phone and say you're looking to buy it. If it's stolen, part it out and sell the block to someone looking to use it on a race car or something.
I'm not condoning stealing, and if I find someone who is guilty of such I will personally make sure they suffer for it. Buying something stolen unknowingly, that's just a sticky situation.

Free VIN Checks

It'll only show something if it's salvaged or stolen. So if nothing shows up it's legit.
This is where carfax recommends you to go if a vin comes back stolen to double check and report. Don't worry, men in black won't bust down your door if it comes back stolen, but you should report it.
If you don't have a VIN tag then it's considered stolen by most states without a bill of sell or salvage papers.
I was in the same boat, Vegas is retarded for owning Honda's. You're almost guaranteed to run across stolen garbage all the time here when dealing with used Honda's.

You need the vin off the engine o check if its stolen u dum dum..... theres thousands of "B16A3's" out there lol....
B16A3's are from the 93-97 Del Sol, his engine is from a 93-95 which didn't have a vin tag on the engine. They did however have a serial number stamped below the B16A3 stamp. This is what he is referring to.
