Default DA Seatbelts not working

In the car i bought not to long ago i noticed that the seatbelts dont work, the ones that go over your shoulder automaticly. I would like to find out why cause for 1 i feel weird having just the waist belt on and 2 im sure a cop wouldnt like it. I checked every single fuse in the fuse box and none of them are blown the cars wiring was kinda rigged when i got it so they might not even be plugged in so if someone could show me how i could check that it would be greatly appreciated

I had the same problem. Apparently all Acura's have a lifetime warranty with safety things. I took mine to the dealer and they fixed it for free.

Not just Acura, its a relatively new safety law. Safety equipment has an extended warranty.

I had the dealer replace the rails, sliders, motors, and belts on my 91 LS 2 years ago, no charge at all.

You should get that fixed. It's not safe to drive with broken seatlbelts.

I'd just call and make an appointment, cuz chances are they'll just have you make an appointment anyway if you just take it in.

I just called my local Acura dealership and they confirmed that the electronic shoulder strap is NOT covered. However, my driver side shoulder strap does not lock when yanked on, but Acura says this is covered. The seat belt tensioner is covered but not the electronics

i checked that just now its plugged in but i dont think theres power getting to them period cause the person i bought the car from bought it from some guy that rigged some dash into the car that wasnt in there before i think its from a DA GSR but a lot of the wires were just twisted together so i had to fix some of that but i dont think the power for the seatbelts is even wired up anymore so how would i check that or where are the motors and ill just hook power up to them cause neither of the seatbelts work both sides just stay put

Call a different dealer. Santa Monica Acura replaced the electronics on my 91 LS under warranty. Belts, rails, and motors were all replaced for me.

The motor is part of the belt system, and needs to be functioning properly for the belt to work properly. Find a different dealer that will replace it, and report the dealer that declined it to Honda.

i dont know if this has anything to do with the seatbelts working unless it was the sensor that tells them to turn on but there a blue wire with a black stripe and white dots on and it a solid black wire with black dots under my dash not hooked to anything its just bare wires
