Default Tach issues

Just swapped a d15b2 into a 91 CRX after my 88 CRX kinda rusted apart. Gave the old speedo to the kid who helped with the swap. Everything went ok till i started driving the 91 and the Tach and possibly gas gauges don't seem to work. Is there a difference between the wiring or something with the 91 & 88 Speedo clusters??

Plus the genius who car the car before me cut the shift **** so its a stub. Is it difficult to install a short shifter so i can actually shift my car??

Thanks HT

yes. the plugs are the same, but some of the wires are in different positions.

you'll find pinouts on this page that should help you out

installing a new short shifter is not difficult at all. once you get under the car its pretty obvious how to get the old one out and install a new one.

changing a shifter can be a bitch tho, i attempted mine, but every screw is rusted to the point that wrench/socket doesnt work

from my recollection, most clusters from that era that had a speedo were interchangeable, as far as crx's and hatch's and foe does go.
