Today i installed KYB GR-2's on my hatch. After i was done i took the car for a test drive. I noticed that when i take turns hard my tires rub? I never had this issue with my stock OEM struts? Same springs and everything. All i changed was the strut.

 

Your tires rub when you turn hard both ways? Also what are your tires rubbing on? You should be able to see marks where it is hitting. Do some checking of your own.

 

Yes they rub when i turn left or right. They are rubbing on the fender. Its like i lowered the car more, but i didn't?

Yeah, you shouldn't have any problems then. Are you sure they're actually rubbing and it's not a different noise? Are there slight marks on the tires from the rubbing?

 

I know its rubbing for sure.

 

well it could be that the struts are shorter than the ones you had before, i used to have stock ones then i replaced them with the koni STRT's and my car got lower because the struts themselves were shorter than the stock ones. it didnt rub when turning only when i would hit bumps in the road
