Default integra short shifter in a crx????

i recently bought a short shifter for my crx on ebay. i bought it because it was shaped like the z style(zig-zag) well the guy said that the one for the crx is just a normal bent one. but he will send me the one for the integra if i want. i was just wondering if a short shifter for an integra would work, or maybe even a newer civic (92-95). i need to know asap. thanks

Umm... the '88-'91 CRX short-shifter is the same as the '90-'93 Integra short-shifter. I'm not really sure what you're asking but I thought i'd throw out my $.02.

You can use the 94+ integra shifter. It works fine, it just positions the **** straight up instead of tilted back like the CRX stock shifter.

I know, I used to have one (but it hit my greddy exhaust so I went back to stock)

My car has a GSR short shifter. I guess it wasn't to hard to swap it from the GSR to my REX but it works, and damn good might I ad. The only problem was getting used to the shifter. But yeah you can use a Integra short shifter in your REX.

B&M has one part number for the 94+ integra and 88+ civic.

GSR cable? gsr shifter isn't cable....

but anyways.... does the positioning of using a 94+ shifter move the shifter closer or farther from reach? I realize the one that is meant to be used has one bend, as opposed to the two bends in the 94+ integra shifter. hybrid hatchback is using a gsr shifter in his 88 i believe.... but he is also running a b16 swap, so....

They made the b17a gsr in the 90-93 integra bodystyle.
As for the positioning, it moves it closer to the driver, more towards the center of the car. (relative to the front-rear)

i thought he was referring to a cable shifter, not a cable clutch. that's where i was lost. thanks for clearing that up.

sounds like when i weld up the new exhaust this weekend i may stick the ol skunk2 into the hatch. it's a pity how much dust it's collected since i bought it and didn't need it for my teg.

It actually just tilts the top of the **** more towards the front of the car, so it is entirely vertical rather than tilted towards the driver.

BE AWARE! i tried using a stock GSR shifter in my hatch..i'm using hasport linkage..and the bottom part of the shifter that has the bolt go through it, connecting it to the linkage was TOO WIDE and didn't fit! other's have had different experiences, but that's what happened to me.

don't buy that crap, go out to a junk yard and get yourself a shifter out of a del sol and those things are really short and it's oem.

You can get one for 20 bucks.
