Default Possible clutch slippage on EK, help!

Hey guys i have a 2000 civic dx with a stock d16, I've been driving the car around and noticed many symptoms related to clutch slippage. A grinding noise happens only on first when i release the clutch and only when i have people in the car with me. Now i'm still not sure if it's due to slipping or not. If it is, what clutch do you suggest i get for my stock engine, thanks

How many miles are on it? What is your driving style like? If it makes a pulsating sound with the rpms when you shift higher, then you'll know it's going out.

Stage one clutches are really nice compared to oem replacement and are generally only 100 dollars more

I bought the car a week ago, i only noticed it after i had people with me. The car has 118,000 km. The clutch pedal is stiff and it only happens on first. I might as well swap the whole d16 for a b18c

I doubt it's slipping. Try going into a high gear and hitting the gas, if your rpms go up without much acceleration, then yes, it's slipping.

Could just be a slave cylinder issue? Idk.

^ I also think that it could be some rust build up on the flywheel. The car has been sitting in a driveway for 3 month.

You're never gonna know what's really wrong with it until you check it out. There are lots of variables in this situation.

If you're looking for a replacement clutch, Exedy has OEM clutches for cheap. It should also come with a pressure plate. If you think the issue just lies in your flywheel, go have that resurfaced.
