need help with 96 accord ignition problem can some one help thankx

i got a 96 accord and this morning it dint want to turn on checked everything i could and the it seems like if the key doesnt want to stay in on or assesory wat can be the problem or lead me to the right way thanx

does dash light up when the key is in the "ON" position, does the motor crank, then die, or doesnt crank at all, can you hear the fuel pump pumping when you try to turn the motor on?
