Default needing advice

Is there anything I can do to help my 95 civic , it has bad tranny problems , It shifts OK on upshifts , but downshifting is uber-harsh and especially downshifitng into first or 2nd its almost everytime at 18 miles an hour my car act like I hit the brakes and makes a whistling sound... I have changed the fluid about 3 weeks ago and no results have surfaced from it , I see all those "stops hard shifts" tranny oil **** but I dont wanna make things worse with something I am uneducated about , is there anything I can do to help it besides a new tranny?

Also getting up hills is extremly hard for my ccar , the gas pedal tends to tighten up to all hell when on a hill and if I push hard it feels like I am going to break it and it wont downshift , but if it does downshift it ****in slams it and it feels horrible...

Hopefully someone will have some insight

Tranny - You can try putting some GM Syncro Mesh in it. It is known to help with grinding. I have it in my GSR tranny and it definitely smoothed things up. You can get it at NAPA or of course a GM dealership. Otherwise, the sycro's sound shot and you might need another tranny. There really isn't anything else you can do once it starts wearing beyond use.

Pedal - check your linkage and adjustment. Never heard of a throttle cable tightening up on a hill. Just look everything over thoroughly. Something seems out of adjustment.

Fluid exchanges are good for extending the life of a trans but it does not fix problems usually. No shock there

Is the CEL on? Do you retrieve code 19 or any other CEL codes?

Also try a thorough cleaning of the throttle body and adjusting or replacing the throttle cable.
