Building/rebuilding an engine how to..
I've done work on en engine externally but not internally and was wondering for the guys that can tear apart an engine and put it back together... what's a good source of reading should I look at for things like that?
Any good books or sites that teaches this extensively? Like how to replace bearings, pistons and crap like that... thanks!

i highley recomend you buy a helms manual for your application 1st, that will give you all the specs for measurments, tolerances, and tq specs. and genral overhauling procedures.
next you need proper measuring equipment to properly build an engine, micometers and dial indicators, dial bore gauge, feeler gauge, ect... and you need to know how to used these properly. you need machinist feel.
as for pointers. use alot of common sense. cleanliness is key. you dont want crap floating around in your motor, never use rags, they hold dirt and leave lint. use papertowels to wipe down bores, a good trick is to use automatic transmission fluid on a paper towel, you will be amazed at the **** you take off the bores after you already thought they were clean. take your time, rushing never ends up good. if you loose a rod bolt, dont go to the hardware store!!! check the crank and make sures it spins after tighting each main cap. pretty mutch just pay attention to details and use your head. if your not to mechanicly skilled and dont understand precision measuring then dont attempt this.... you would be throwing your money away.

take what he said, add the helms manual to it, and look at bambam's how to build an lsvtec thread and you should be good to build a B series honda.
take this tidbit to boost your confidence. a B series honda is about as easy of a motor as it gets. the "RB" in RB26 however musst stand for regularly broken or retarded bastard because im going to put the barrel of a 12 gauge on the valve cover and pull the trigger soon.

Very good pointers there 4drsedaneg! Thanks! I do remember there's a Honda Engine Rebuilding book or something like that that I've heard it's popular but I can't think of the book title right now...
