Default 2000 Si A/C compressor issue

My AC as of late has been clicking off and on constantly about every 1~2 seconds it keeps on trying to cycle,so the AC is cold/hot/cold/hot inside the car,it seems to do it more when the car is accelerating and I have seen it do it at idle as well, any ideas?

The AC pressure switch could be bad, if not a relay could be the culprit.

you are low on freon, the compressor is using up all of the freon in the low side and having to cut off because there is none left to compress. Add a can or take it to an A/C service shop and have them add some with dye, to find the leak.

Did you recently add refrigerant? If so, the A/C system may be overcharged.

Do both the compressor clutch and condenser fan rapidly turn on and off, or just the clutch or fan? If both, then you might want to check the thermostat in the evaporator unit.

If the condenser fan runs continuously but the compressor rapidly cycles on and off, then check the pressure switch (already mentioned). If the switch is fine, then also check the compressor clutch clearance and the compressor thermal protector.
