d15b setup questions
so i have a jdm d15b vtec head on a d15z1 block. from what i've researched online this is the equivalent to a jdm d15b motor. also from what i've researched it's basically like having a d15 with z6 internals except the stroke length isn't as long. with all these specs in mind i typed these into a compression calculator switching p29 pistons for the factory ones and a 2 layer y8 headgasket. what shocked me is that the compression was rated at over 16:1 for the compression ratio. this didn't seem realistic to me considering the mini-me guides i've read have recommended p29 pistons to bump up compression but i've never heard of it being that high. what i was wondering is if i can actually use this setup in my car and what the actual compression ratio is.
13.3 is insane amount of compression... Thats something thats hard to get even if you tried. Well atleast on a b18.
If it runs, i'd get it tuned, that doesnt seem right.

Alrite well I figured in pg6 pistons from a d16a1 and the 2 layer y8 head gasket and that produced a 11.3:1 cr is that more suitable rather than a cr close to 13:1
