Best brake pad option for a 01 accord
First timer here and need some words of wisdom. What do I need to know about doing my front and rear brake pads, do I need to replace the rotors too?? Where should I buy the standard pads honda dealer, napa, shucks?? Or is there a better pad and rotor out there for my 01 Honda Accord. Helpppppppp!!!! And recommended lubricants and tools, anything need to be set with a torque wrench??
Find a good set of dealership ceramic brakes, they will help save your rotors. Stay far away from nappa, auto zone and advance auto parts store brakes they usually last like 15k or less and are gone.

I normally use wagner quickstop or thermoquioet ceramic brakes but just purchased a pair of hawk HPS pads to go with my new brembo sport slotted rotors.... should have them on in about 10 days, i'll let you know how they perform... sposed to be seriously good pads....
got a pair of wagner edge as spares in case the hawk is not to my liking...

might i suggest powerslot rotors and hawk pads. I have a 02 accord and i love the way they feel. the hawk pads give a really nice bite. tirerack.com should have wat u need.

tirerack would have what you need but definitely wont be your best bet on pricing....
check ebay if you want the hawk hps pads.. there is a seller that sells it cheaper than tirerack, gives free shipping, and a free $20 bottle of Motul RBF600 fluid...
re: rotors, I hit up ebay as well for it... $100 or so for the pair of brembo slotteds
then the Goodridge brake lines, hit buybrakes.com and got free shipping and $10 off

Stay away from any slotted or drilled rotor unless your car is track only. The slots eat at your pad giving you better stopping but you will have to replace you pad more often. Ive heard that your best bet is to run brembo blanks with hawks or any pad of your liking.
