vtec help

my friend has a 94 si eg we swapped a b16a2 and is running his stock p28. there are no cel's and wont go past 6500rpm anyone know what might be the issue?

sounds like a rev limiter or does it break up? ( detonation / misfire ect.)

well he needs an ecu that is going to run a DOHC vtec engine.... that could be a possible reason..

Yea try a diff ecu

get correct ecu, or chip the p28. If not that ignition coil going out on you.
