Default What combo

Ok so im going racing tomm night with my buddy and his manager at work. I think that my clutch is going to go out and its going to be sooner THEN later. My buddy and i have done many tanny installs and motor installs. So labor is nothing for me. I just want to kno what clutch to get for my car. ALso going to change out the flywheel out to.

Should i get the ACT 11.4lbs 8.4lbs or the exedy 9lbs or the clutchmaster flywheel. What clutch should i get? I go to the track maybe once a year and race at teh drag stripe. I want the clutch to last me awhile so maybe a stage 1. I drive my car hard at times. Dont plan on doing to much more upgrading in power. What brand is good ect ect.

Thanks for all the help.

Just go with a Stage 0 or 1 clutch. Anything higher is pointless with just basic boltons.

well with a lighter flywheel, you're going to have more of a rev hang on top of the rev hang we have from the factory. especially the 8.4 lb. but acceleration is going to the best with the lightest flywheel, but off the line traction is going to be a bigger issue with a lighter flywheel as well. as far as clutches, i would just get stage 1 act. anything higher, like rico said, is pointless with your setup. unless you plan to s/c or turbo.

well i would go act. i know some ppl that have the stage 1 and they love it.
11.4 is a good choice, or u can go type-r with the 10lb. but i dont plan on changing my flywheel and clutch soon, but if i did, i would go act stage 1 with an 8lb flywheel.

i try to prepare for the inevitable.
i was contemplating on buying a clutch kit the other day from act, since they are 15 mins away from me, i was gonna run down and pick one up and just hold it till the day comes.
