Default Rear sway bar question!

I have a 96 cx hatch with koni yellows and ground control coilovers with the standard spring rates and 195/50/15 falken ziex ze912's. I have installed a 99-00 si 26mm front sway bar. Here is my question. I have the chance to buy a stock 99-00 si rear sway bar (13mm) for $50 or an m-factory (22 or 23mm) rear swaybar tiebar reinforcment setup for $150. Which would be the ideal one to get for everyday driving and maybe occasional track events?

Thanks

Scott

Hondas (and most street cars) come from the factory with lots of understeer built into the car's suspension. Adding the stiffest rear sway bar you can will kill most, if not all, of the car's understeer.

That is a terrible suggestion for a random inexperienced dude with a street car. You absolutely do NOT want that in that situation.

Scott, it sounds like you have no experience on track. Given that, I'd keep things cheap and simple and stick with the Si bar if you really want to get one. The better option is to forego that altogether and get out to a track event with that money instead. You just plain do not need any kind of swaybar-induced rotation on the street, ever.

For more information on all that, please use the search function (as this has been covered a gillion times here). Follow these instructions, using "Swaybar" or "Sway bar" as the search term: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2576327
