need help
I converted from auto 2 stick not long ago. I have a eg6 with a y7 swap. Car drives real good but wen I'm a a full stop or out of gear my car ideal's from 1 to 1 1/2 rpm. I changed the iyak sensor, and all the lil sensor's on the intake mani but still have the problem. I don't have no check engine light or nothing and i also changed the ecu into a stick ecu. Some time the car will smell like gas inside, need help this is driving me crazy.......
Is the throttle cable adjusted too tightly?
Have you also tried:
-adjusting the idle screw on the throttle body?
-bleeding the cooling system?
-troubleshooting the ECT sensor below the distributor?
Have you checked for a fuel leak around the fuel filter and fuel rail? Is the engine running rich and getting low gas mileage?

How would I toubleshoot the ect?
still your consupmtion on gas is easy. GET YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL. that is the easiest way to put it. manuals do use more gas than auto's cause autos are pre set for the best gas mileage. as far as your leaks check the fuel pump and all along the fuel rail. also if you have it check the vacum lines that go to the mani from the charcoal canister. that could be full to and that would give a rich and a raw fuel smell
If driven the same way, a manual will get substantially better mileage than an auto primarily because the operation of an auto transmission requires a substantial amount of engine power whereas as a manual transmission requires almost no engine power.
