Default CTR Piston and CTR cam setup question.

If I were to do this setup on a stock B16A2 would I need to do a fuel management for the setup or just leave the stock basemap? Thanks!

You will run lean, most likely burn a valve and that will lead to this

also, you're just as likely to float a valve if you leave the stock valvetrain in place

ctr cams + pistons on an otherwise stock b16 motor will blow quick, even if you are smart enough to change your basemap

one local idiot here decided it was a good idea to "build" a b20/vtec with skunk2 level 3 cams with a stock b16 valvetrain and 70+mm ITBs. to make a long story short he floated a valve and blew it all up on his 3rd pass

Sounds like a buddy of mine who did a b20vtec with CTR head and BC4 cams. Needless to say, the valves didn't like the pistons, so they punched a whole through them to make more room for vtec.

So would you recommend swapping out to a CTR valvetrain or just aftermarket skunk2 valvetrain. I guess i should do some cam gears also. I'm wondering if i want to tune it would i have to do hondata or could i do it with stock ecu?

CTR valve train or skunk2 will do. Hondata would be best to tune with but u'll need a chipped ECU or u can just tune on crome but u'll still need a chipped ECU.
