no, if its goin in a 00 have fun finding a 00, and watch out cause people are gona try selling you 96-98 motors......thats what happened to me i blew my d in my 00 and i found another on clist ad said 00 y8 i called him even asked him if it was, he said it had 100k i got the motor, and i had to swap everything from my d to this one and it runs like crap, and it had more then 100k, so either find a b16 cheap or you'll be waiting a while. no one's honest anymore with the economy this bad.

 

yea i get yea... y didnt u just get a obd2a to obd2b harnass abd a 00 ecu??? wouldnt of that worked fine?

 

no cause the motors look the same but the back of them are totally different. i had to use the obd2b motor's intake manifold, and some other stuff off the back of the block.
