camgear install question
Sup guys, i,m rebuilding my GSR and i'm now installing the cam gears. i know the torque is 41 lbs-ft but my question is do i need to hold the cam while torquing the cam gear or the stiffness of the valve spring will counter the torque?? Thanks guys
Lock the gears in place with a punch
Look at the scanned manual page about 1/4 down on the link

I know the pic is for a CRX head, the pic was just a reference as to where you would insert the punch. Notice in the diagram the cams are at TDC. If you look at the cams, there should be a little dimple for the punch, and there should be a hole on the center of the cam rails.
