Default need help with CEL

Ok guys, I need some assistance. I just recently bought a 91 CRX with a SHOC ZC swap. It was running perfectly. Well the other day while driving on the freeway long distance, about 45 minutes, the cel came on when I was 75% to my destination. While on the car drove like s***. I had let the car sit for about 15 min before I had to run an errand and the cel went off and the car ran fine. However when I went to drive back home the cel came back on again around the same time. For about a week I only drove in town and the light never came on. I tried to retrieve the code via jumping but it would not work. Before I retrieved the code I went out of town again and the same problem happened. So I finally pulled the carpet up and retrieved the code via flashing light off the ecu. Well I got a code 43 which is fuel supply system. What I dont understand is why the light comes on when I am going a long distance on the freeway and runs badly but if I am driving in town everything is fine. Also where should I go about trying to solve this code 43. In addition the fuel rail is aftermarket and I believe it is OBDII swap but dont know for sure. Thanks a ton in advance.

Maybe your fuel pump is going out, after awhile, it gets hot and when it does get hot its not working normally.

My thought? your main relay is overheating and cutting or undervolting the fuel pump, causing limp mode and fuel delivery issues.

you can test the main relay for free, and in the process it may be beneficial to open it up and look at the heat induced pooling of solder away from the relay contacts, if it exists. You can then resolder it yourself or buy a new one to fix it. But test it first so you don't spend the money.

code 43 on OBD1 ECU can also be the heated O2 sensor - sounds more like O2 sensor than fuel problem to me
