For those that have followed this build and other Si's I've owned you probably know how much my Si means to me and how much time and effort I have put into this build. But ladies and gentlemen, she is gone. May she rest in peace. She is totaled. Blind spot in another lane, car came outta nowhere and bam, hit the front right corner and because it bent the frame and twisted a lot of stuff, she was considered totaled. Sad because the other 90% of the car is mint still, car still runs great, just a lot of damage up front. Im sorry guys.

Yeah thanks man. I would much rather see some car parts go to good homes around the local area than bastards cutting and ripping **** out of it. What kills me the most is seeing a car with such a MINT body and paint job just be considered totaled. LOOK AT THE PICS!!! It kills me! When i think of a totaled car i think of something that flipped a couple times, got t boned, whole front end smashed to ****, scratches and dents everywhere.... this is not the case.

so they towed your car to the junk yard? that means the insurance company bought your car right? if so, how much they cash you out?

i want to say your car is repairable but that passenger side frame rail is roudy f-ed up! dude seriously buy it back and take it to a good shop and see what they say. my poor 99 SSBP gsr was blindsided by the phucking POLICE! bitch didnt have her sirens on and tried blaming me. they didnt give me a dime and insurance said my car was totaled for a minor front end collision.

dude after a year of paying my body shop for a car that was not in my possession i have my gsr back <3 dude impossible is nothing it just depends on how bad you want it back.....

 

That car seems easily fixed, The frame was never touched down

wow I actually know the apt complex that your at a friend of mine lived there when I was stationed in norfolk, bummer about the car though that def sux, you might be able to buy it back from the insurance company though and fix it....

 

I would buy it back from insurance and rebuild it. It can be easily fixed. beleive me

 

wish you lived in my area, i'd rebuild that without a doubt. apron, strut tower, pull the rails. really nice car though. book value's must be getting down there if a straight si is getting totaled with that hit what was the salvage value (if i may ask)

 

The collision center said they got up to $5,000 in damages and then stopped adding stuff up. The KBB value of the car is only $4800 in "GOOD" condition. I cannot believe for one second that the car is NOT fixable. It may take a lot of time and hard work but ya know, i just can't let a car thats 90% flawless be considered "totaled". HELLS NO!
